Band Member Periodic Updates:

June 25th, 2010 - Lately the pace of things have been a little bit different than were used due to some major decision making we've been doing and playing the whole contract negotiating/lawyer waiting game but it's been great because it's given us more time to interact with our fans online. We recently signed a management deal with Indegoot Entertainment which for our genre of music is the best management company you can be with. They manage acts such as Chevelle, Shinedown, and our boys in Sevendust, so we're really looking forward to begin working with them. "Counting the Hours" and our current single "Just Run" has been doing great thanks to all of you and your amazing support! Don't forget you can still request it to your local radio station, check out the radio listings here. We've been talking about choosing which song we want to push to radio next, so keep an ear out for that. Recently we've been trying to stay as active as we can with all of our social sites while were not on the road, and we've done some upgrades to our iLike, Reverbnation, Broadtexter, and pages like that. so go check em out and let us know what you think, were always open to suggestions in changes we should make.We just bought a bigger and better trailer so we won't be running into any issues again(fingers crossed) this next time out,
haven't named her yet but were open for requests. Which reminds me we have some shows coming up next week in Tennessee, Missouri, and Arizona which two of the shows land on Ian and mines birthday, weird! We'll hopefully be going out for some more US dates later this year probably around November, we'll keep you posted as soon as we get them of course. After we get back from Missouri we'll be working on an entire merch revamp with all new designs and products for your purchasing pleasure:). However ringtones are now available @ Thumbplay and our new beer coozie should be up by next week on our merch store. Ben just finished our iTunes App which you can get on the iTunes App Store, and Ian should be finishing up piecing together our next DSTV episode here shortly. Other than that we can't thank you enough for your support, and that's about all I can think of right now...oh yeah I got a new Beta fish named Bartholemeu, till next time.

April 19th, 2010 -
Well well, where to begin.... We got back about 2 weeks ago from our tour with Sevendust and Drowning Pool. The tour was off the hook!! We played 31 shows (in just 40 days) all over the US! It was unreal! Over all, everything went great, aside from getting strip searched twice in Texas, tire blow outs, Kyle getting sick in Boise, and not getting any sleep, we had a blast! Being able to meet all our fans across the US that have been with us from the start, as well as making new fans/ friends, we couldnt have asked for a better time! And mad props to our boys in Sevendust and Drowning Pool for bringing us out with them! So... now were back home (for now) and getting things finished up for the "Counting the Hours" release. As some of you know we had to push back the release date to due to some unforeseen circumstances. But all is well and the record will be out soon, we promise! Our first single off the record,"Just Run", has already hit radio across the country and its doing great! But we could still use your help, check our the radio lists that are up on the website and the promo section of the Myspace page and hit up your local radio stations and request it! Theres a lot going on here at the Digital Summer head quarters (its like NASA!) so keep a look out for updates and well do our best to keep everyone in loop! hope all is well, until next time! Late!

February 2, 2010 - Hey what's up everybody! This is my first little news update, but luckily there is plenty to talk about. We've finished up the record and got all of the artwork figured out so we should have it in our hands soon enough! Right now we are working like crazy trying to get everything ready for our tour with Sevendust and Drowning Pool. We should be having lots of new merch on tour, and I've heard you might be able to get our new CD at those shows as well...speaking of the CD the first single "Just Run" should be hitting radio in about 2 weeks! You can also hear it at myspace.com/digitalsummer. We can't wait to get out on the road and play in front of some new faces, and hopefully we don't accidentally leave anybody in another state. For a full list of tour dates check out the "Dates" section or go to myspace.com/digitalsummer or facebook.com/digitalsummer to see if we are coming to your town. That's all for now!

December 22nd, 2009 So here we are at the end of December and right on track with the new record. We're all in the studio mixing the album, and the past month has been a crazy time in here. We've been super busy laying down tracks and reviewing them non-stop! This cd has consumed our lives and has been worth every sacrifice for it, small and big. We are really looking forward to putting it out there for everyone to enjoy, criticize, jam out to in their cars, give as a present, or maybe toss out there window...ha jk. We should be releasing it end of Jan. beg. of Feb. If you haven't noticed I've been calling the album "it" and that's because we are torn between a couple names for the new cd but will be figuring that out shortly:). Once we do get the concept completely together we will be offering "it" off of our website and myspace pages available as a pre-order.

While in the studio we have also been working on a ton of artwork for new merchandise ideas we have, so keep an eye out for those that will be available beg. of January as well. Hope you all have been enjoying our DSTV episodes and being able to get an idea of what things are like from our perspective. It's been interesting making them, and putting them together trying to figure out what you want to see. If you have no clue as to what I'm talking about click here and check it out!

Hope that's brought you all up to speed for now, there will be a lot going on with us after this album drops, we're excited to see what the new year holds. Take care and we hope everyone's holidays are going well.
-Guido & Co.

March 25th - I know we keep saying we're going to update the news more.... but I swear there are fewer hours in a day now! So lets see, whats happenin? Well, we are currently writing the next album. We have about 15 rough songs thus far. Not sure how many we're going to write in total or how many will be released, but we're not done yet =)  We start our first round of pre-production in about 2 weeks, so be patient... new material is coming!

We had started the process to shoot another video. There's been some liability hang ups, but we're still wokring on it. Apparently we're considered a security risk to the prison system...thats all I can really say. haha. We'll keep ya posted.

We've been filiming behind the scenes footage and random videos for several months now. Hopefully we'll get something posted soon. Cut us  some slack though, we're still doing all this oursleves and it's just a matter of finding the time. The concept is to have a DS TV online video series of sorts that we'll post new videos for at least monthly. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out!

Also, now you can follow all of us on Twitter! Also check out the band's page at Twitter.com/DigitalSummer
Hope all is well! Stay tuned....

January 8th 2008 - HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!! Hope everyone had an awesome holiday! Well let's see......whats new?  um....the video is pretty cool (in my opinion haha)...so check that out if you haven't already. The guys from MOTIONarmy did an amazing job. It's posted for your viewing pleasure on myspace.com/digitalsummer, youtube and right here at digitalsummer.net!

The acoustic EP should hopefully be released in Feb. The recording is finished, we're just finishing up the artwork and extras. Larry at Mindseye Digital Recording did a killer job as always! Love ya man.

Coming up we've got 5 or so show dates in Feb. We'll be hittin Tempe, Las Vegas, LA, Flagstaff and Prescott. More to come. So if you happen to be in any of these areas...roll on out to the show!

Last month we did a little experiment... we posted a bulletin on Myspace saying if you lived in Arizona and wanted a FREE Digiatl Summer decal to put on your car/truck, all you had to do was send us a message and we'd send ya one. Well we got an OVERWHELMING response from just one bulletin!! Needless to say we ended up sending out over 250 decals from just that one little experiment. So we've decided that our offer still stands. If you would like a Digital Summer decal for your car/truck (you actually have to put it on!) then simply send us a myspace message or an email with your full name, mailing address and what size decal you want (large or small)....and we'll send it out!

Think that it for now. Keep it real, keep it safe...keep it real safe.
-Kyle

ps. Quick THANX to our kickass street team for going HUGE as always!!! You guys rock!

November 28th, 2007... Hey everyone! its been a little bit, but we've been keeping busy! first off, hope everyone had a killer Thanksgiving! I know we did! anyways, we've had a lot of fun stuff going on. We had the Mind's Eye Digital 15th year anniversary show we did on Nov. 16th, it was a blast, and thank you so much to everyone who came out!...

we also had an acoustic show for the KUPD Homeless for the Holidays on NOv 20th. The show was tons of fun and turned out better than we had imagined. The following night, we had a show at Crabby Dons on the east side of town, which was also a lot of fun. these shows werent as big as our normal shows, but they still turned out great and it gives us a better chance to meet all of you!

We just finished filming the music video for 'Rescue Me', wait till you see it, its amazing! We worked with the guys from Motion Army who have done videos for a bunch of great local bands (pumphouse,oh doctor, giant killer, etc) We had two seperate filming days, the first lasted approx. 17 hours, and the second was abot 14 hours. needless to say, we were definately exhausted by the time we were done filming, but it was all worth. the video should be up soon so keep checking back!

... we're hitting the studio this Friday for about a week to record some acoustic tracks for the acoustic EP we plan on putting out, so we've been fine tuning the songs going on that EP. you can expect some songs you already know, and some new tracks you probably havent heard. we'll also be packing the EP cd with a tons of extra stuff like videos, interviews, pics, etc. Not too sure when we'll be releasing it, but my guess would be no later than february-ish!

thats all for now, but keep checkin back for more updates and info. thanks again for being kick ass fans!

take care
Ian

Were going to hit the studio in December to record a few songs from "Cause and Effect" ACOUSTICALLY as well as another full blown song that didn't make the Record......It's gonna be a quick little departure from the last record but we assure you its going to be SICK....we're really excited about it and cant wait for everyone to hear it! To go along with that we're going to be making a video for "Rescue Me" in October that will be included as a bonus feature on the new E.P.

We have a few shows pending which we'll be posting in the next few days. If you haven't had a chance to grab a copy of "Cause and Effect" at and Zia records (AZ, Vegas, Tucson) and for those who aren't able to get those places you can easily pick it up online through us, CDbaby.com, iTunes.com, by visiting our merch section on this page or by going to our Myspace page
www.myspace.com/digitalsummer.

And lastly we recently launched the DS Japan page.....It virtually a mirrored site of our U.S. page but its kinda trippy to look at everything in Japanese. If you have a free minute hit us up over there at

September 24th - Hey peoples.... hope life is treatin ya well! Just wanted to give everyone an update. For those of ya who didn't know... we played Martini Ranch on Thursday for Club Koas and had a good time. We even got to wear all our rediculous camo gear! It was fun =)
Then the next morning we headed down to Tucson for a show at Belushe's (across from U of A). We got into Tucson around 1pm and spent the next 6 hours on campus and around town handing our CD's and flyers. We went through a little over a thousand i think. Gotta spread the word! We didn't even hit the stage at Belushe's until about 10:30.... by then atleast 2 members of the band (who will remain anonymous... but you could probably guess) were already pretty trashed. So we played a rather "random" set ... but we had a helluva lot of fun doin it! We made some new friends too (Gooch is one crazy mofo!) and
You Apart is one badass Tucson band... not only did they play a kickass set, but they even helped us load up and tear down our gear! Hats off to those guys... they're awesome! We look forward to playin with them again! Overall Tucson experience = good times =)
